Houseboat strike ends
The strike by houseboat owners and workers was called off after a discussion with the owners and union leaders in the presence of Tourism Minister A.P. Anilkumar in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday.
The owners and union leaders agreed to sign a new agreement valid from July 1 to June 30, 2014. As per the agreement the salary of the workers has been fixed as Rs.6,850 per month and Rs.170 daily bata.
